Meet Maggie
Experienced HR leadership, a human approach, and room for a little humor.

Hi, I'm Maggie.
After more than two decades in Human Resources, I've learned that the toughest workplace challenges rarely come with simple answers. And the last thing a business owner needs is someone making an already difficult situation more complicated.
I founded Lacuna HR Collective because businesses and nonprofits, from small to mid-sized businesses, deserve access to experienced HR leadership. My approach is straightforward: listen first, understand the problem, and offer honest, practical guidance.
I believe you can be compassionate without avoiding accountability, professional without being intimidating, and serious about compliance without losing your sense of humor.
Come on in. Let's talk people.
Let's get acquainted ☕Experience & Credentials
I bring more than two decades of hands-on HR leadership, from supporting employees on the front line to advising executives on the decisions that shape an organization. My approach combines professional HR expertise, ongoing learning, and practical judgment.
Professional Background
I've spent more than two decades in Human Resources, and I've learned that no two workplaces are alike. Every organization has its own people, challenges, culture, and opportunities. Understanding those differences is where good HR begins.
Throughout my career, I've held senior HR leadership roles supporting frontline employees, managers, and executive teams. My work has included building and improving HR programs, strengthening employee relations, developing leaders, workforce planning, compensation, organizational change, workplace investigations, safety, and navigating complex compliance challenges.
I've worked in multi-site and global business environments where decisions need to make sense both strategically and on the ground. Whether I'm helping a leader navigate a difficult conversation or shaping a longer-term people strategy, I focus on practical solutions that support the business without losing sight of the people behind it.
I believe good HR requires more than policies and procedures. It takes sound judgment, genuine relationships, accountability, and the willingness to have honest conversations. That's the experience and perspective I bring to Lacuna.

Experience Across Industries & Organizations
With more than two decades of HR leadership experience, I've worked across a diverse range of industries, organizational structures, and business environments. My background includes supporting small to mid-sized businesses, large organizations, and complex, multi-site operations, with experience collaborating across national and global business environments.
From frontline operations to executive leadership, I've partnered with people at every level of an organization, navigating unique workforce challenges, regulatory requirements, organizational change, and the everyday realities of managing people.
That breadth of experience allows me to bring a practical, adaptable perspective to each client relationship. I understand that what works for one organization may not work for another, and that's exactly why I believe HR solutions should be built around the business, not pulled from a one-size-fits-all playbook.
